Maestro Umpad had a clear vision of the future of his art; preserving the martial culture that had been handed down to us was of utmost importance. Unity and growth between the new generation of Filipino martial artists, was his other major concern.

It is with this goal in mind that we have created VisayanEskrima.com. We are a collective of the Maestros advanced and senior students that want to carry out his wishes.

VisayanEskrima.com serves as a source of information about Maestro Sonny Umpad and his creation, Visayan Eskrima. Seminars, ongoing classes, articles and DVD footage are available to those seeking understanding of the system.
